Freelancers, independent contractors, artists, and consultants don’t have time (or the desire) to manage all the details of tax record-keeping. Personal and business finances are blurred, receipts get lost, leading to a mad scramble at tax return time. RBC Ventures—a new subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada—created an app that tracks and organizes mileage, expenses, sales tax, and more throughout the year so that self-employed people are prepared for tax deadlines and can focus on the work they love. Catchword was asked to name it. Documentation? Sorted. Expense tracking? Sorted. Deductions? Sorted. This product practically named itself.
