The new network would offer broadband internet, cable TV, and phone, focusing on residential markets underserved by the national telecoms. Founded in 1902, Shentel has a deep history of helping rural and small town Americans connect. In 1990, it was the first company in Virginia to offer cellular service to a rural area.
