Synaxia was a great company name if you wanted to appeal to engineers. But the company was now ready to talk to the rest of the world. We focused on new names that highlighted the leap in performance their unified network storage systems enabled. “Blue” implies speed (think blue streak), and “arc” refers to the bridge between users, data, and computers in the network. Plus, arc lights are 200 times more powerful than ordinary ones.
