Today’s lesson – finally, a word for the thing that happens to me all the time! :
Tartle— A Scottish verb meaning to hesitate while introducing someone due to having forgotten his/her name.

Thank you so much for “tartle”, yet another word in my arsenal of excuses as to why I have “word blanks”. The only word I can consistently remember is “dysnomia” – difficulty, or dysfunction, in recalling names. (Probably it’s because I refer to it so often;)
